Green Cleaning Policy

First, let me say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to the families who have already brought in donations of school supplies for the class to use. These items were exactly what we needed to make sure everyone has what they need for a successful year.

Second, I want to amend and clarify an item on the list that is no longer being requested. In accordance with CT Public Act 09-81 and Somers Board of Education policy 3524.2 (article 3), otherwise known as the "Green Cleaning Program," NO outside cleaning materials should be sent in. This includes all brands of surface wipes (until a specific list is provided by the district). The custodial department will provide appropriate cleaning products which will be used in the classroom.
